A Legend in the Baking

Patrick Lam has been serving up his delicious baked goods in New Zealand for nearly two decades. Moving from Australia in 1997, he had no previous experience with working as a baker, so his brother-in-law gave him 2 weeks training, and he and his wife Lynn moved to Rotorua and bought a bakery. Patrick would be out back experimenting with his new interest in pies, and Lynn serving in the shop. They both worked 12-13 hours a day, seven days a week.

Fast forward to 2020 and the years of hard work, and attention to quality have earned Patrick over 70 various gold, silver and bronze awards as well as receiving the coveted Bakel's Supreme Pie Award seven times, making Patrick the undisputed 'King of Pies'.
